About me – Kiran

Indian vegetarian Food Coach

From Bangalore, the silicon valley of India in the south. Own an indian restaurant in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Studied electrical engineering. Big foodie. Love to cook and feed people, brings me great joy and happiness when people enjoy what I cooked!

Want to bring health and well being to myself and everyone in this world through food, specifically Indian vegetarian food. My family has been lacto-vegetarian for hundreds of generations across more than 2000 years.  The traditional Indian vegetarian diet is balanced, has the right proportions of proteins, carbs and fats.

The way I teach is interactive, hands-on and super fun. You will learn everything from scratch – from making tens and hundreds of spice mixes to breads, rices. Raw, cooked, steamed, pancakes, noodles – you name it and you can find an analog in Indian vegetarian cuisine.


My Approach

I learnt by helping my mother in kneading the breading, tossing the spices  or some other thing, when she needed an extra hand. It was fun and the food was the reward. I believe we learn the best when it is fun and we enjoy the process. Every session of mine will be interactive, you will not just learn but also help me cook.

What You Will Learn?

Indian food is nothing without its spices. So you will start by learning what spices and spice mixes go in the foods you will be cooking that class. How to roast them, grind them. Which vegetables, pulses, grains or legumes do these spices go the best with? What other recipes can you use them in? What you need to give attention to and be careful about? And also insight in the culture and history of Indian vegetarian cuisine.

All our services are delivered online. We do not have or need a physical presence.
